For ASS Altenburger Spielkartenfabrik, we designed playing cards for the hit DreamWorks series “Dragons”. The card designs bring Vikings, dragons and the world of the series into card format – richly detailed and tailored to young fans. The challenge was to follow DreamWorks’ licensing guidelines precisely while developing an independent, playful design that works in retail. A great example of how illustration and graphic design can translate an international entertainment brand into a classic game product from Altenburg.
